We are looking for a Support Executive Global Chains Americas in New York City.

 

This position reports directly to the Area Manager Support Team Global Chains America’s, and is responsible for supporting the Global Chains Americas team in all its operations. In addition to supporting the Global Accounts Team, this role works closely with a number of other departments in the organization including: the local partner services teams, the connectivity team and the other regional chains teams.

The Global Chains department located in New York is responsible for the relationship management and smooth onboarding of chain properties, The department’s main goal is to optimize the business relationship with the chain partners, achieve mutually set business objectives and providing support to both internal and external stakeholders throughout the Americas region.

To be successful in this role, you will need to demonstrate the ability to design, follow and improve upon processes which support the goals of the Booking.com key partnerships. Having the ability to create a strong network internally at Booking.com as well as within Booking.com’s partner organizations. We are looking for a determined team player who is pro-actively identifying roadblocks with processes and looking for solutions.

Ownership

Main responsibilities include but are not limited to:

    • Operational ownership of 4-5 chain accounts
    • Creation & Ownership of all operational processes and projects of assigned chain accounts.
    • Creation standard operating procedures with relevant parties and keeping documents up to date for local hotel teams based on information provided by chains
    • Smooth execution of all operational procedures and projects of assigned chain accounts.
    • Onboarding and efficient activation roll outs of assigned chain accounts.
    • Responsible for managing the Global Accounts email inbox for the Americas
    • Maintain & Update the department’s internal web pages.

 

Relationship

    • Serve as first point of contact within the department for questions from all offices in the Americas
    • Serve as first point of contact for chain counterparts
    • Attend and participate in partner meetings

 

Collaboration

    • Provide support the Key Account Managers with all tasks & projects
    • Regular maintenance and management of the various Global Accounts Team tracking documents
    • Provide monthly and/or weekly chain production reports to the Key Account Manager and assist in preparing quarterly business review
    • Maintaining regular contact with Coordinator Global Accounts in other regions
    • Assisting in fixing any structural issues with pricing

 

Training & Education

    • Increasing the chain knowledge on local level and to other departments by assisting with trainings including face to face presentations, webinars and training documents and other initiatives.
    • Creating support documents such as building manuals and training guides for assigned chains
    • Conduct trainings and webinars for chain partners

 

We are looking for an individual with the following skills and experience:

    • Several years of related experience in the hotel or online travel industry, understanding the hotel industry
    • Advanced computer skills including MS Office (Word, Outlook and PowerPoint), various related systems and internet specifically In depth knowledge of Excel in MS Office
    • Confident communicator; strong written and verbal communication skills
    • Excellent time management, prioritization and organisational skills
    • Attention to detail and accuracy
    • Strong sense of ownership and accountability
    • Pro-active with a get-things-done mentality
    • Resourceful and solution minded, ready to tackle any challenge
    • Ability to work independently as well as a team player
    • Supportive and helping attitude towards team members
    • Proactive, with a get-things-done mentality
    • College or higher education preferred
    • At least 4 years of administrative support experience required
    • Up to 20% travel required
    • Currently authorized to work in the United States
