Hi, I’m Manikanta. I’m a Critical Facilities Engineer at DataBank here in Kansas City, and I have a little over three years of experience in mission-critical data center operations.
At DataBank, I work with EcoStruxure EPMS and Tridium Niagara BMS every day. I monitor and respond to alarms, review EPMS alarm history for root cause analysis, and troubleshoot issues like breaker trips, UPS transfers, and voltage abnormalities. I also support generator load bank testing, ATS transfer testing, and equipment commissioning, and I work closely with vendors and integrators when meters or devices have communication or data issues.
Before that, I worked at Nxtra Data, an Airtel company, in a Tier III colocation data center, where I supported UPS and PDU systems, cooling, and networking, including TCP/IP, VLANs, and fiber cabling.
On the education side, I have a bachelor’s in Electronics and Communication Engineering and a master’s in Computer Information Systems from the University of Central Missouri, so I have a good base in both electrical systems and networking, which is really what EPMS sits on.
I’ve spent my career using these systems on the operations side, and now I want to move into the engineering side: integrating, testing, and commissioning them. That’s why this role really interests me.
