Social Media Manager

We’re looking for a creative, data-driven, and highly organized Social Media Specialist to elevate our brand presence across social platforms and build meaningful connections with our audience. This role is responsible for planning, creating, publishing, and optimizing social media content while ensuring consistency in brand voice, engagement, and performance.

The Social Media Manager is responsible for

• Launch, set up, and maintain Plata’s priority social media channels in Colombia.
• Create and manage the content calendar, ensuring consistent and timely publishing.
• Write, schedule, and publish content across relevant social media platforms.
• Develop content formats and templates that can be produced independently without constant design support.
• Coordinate with the Support team to establish processes for responding to comments and user DMs.
• Track social media performance and use data-driven insights to continuously improve future content.
• Monitor relevant local conversations, trends, and competitor activity to identify opportunities for content and audience growth.

• Build and establish Plata’s social media presence in Colombia from the ground up, focusing on the channels that matter most to our customers.
• Turn ideas into consistent, engaging content, owning the process from planning and copywriting to scheduling and publishing.
• Build scalable content formats and templates that allow us to move fast and create high-quality content with greater independence.
• Help shape how Plata communicates and interacts with customers across social media, working closely with the Support team.
• Use data and performance insights to understand what resonates with our audience and continuously improve our content strategy.
• Stay close to local conversations, trends, and competitor activity to identify opportunities to grow Plata’s audience and strengthen our presence in Colombia.
• Help us build a social media presence that is relevant, recognizable, and genuinely connected to Colombian customers.

What makes you a great fit

• Proven track record managing Instagram and/or TikTok for a similar product, with measurable month-over-month and year-over-year growth.
• Hands-on experience managing social media accounts for a brand, product, agency, or growing company.
• Strong Spanish copywriting skills and good command of English.
• Experience planning, publishing, and scheduling content independently.
• Good understanding of community management and customer communication.
• A practical mindset: you can turn ideas into consistently published content.
