Applied AI Engineer

We are looking for Applied AI Engineers to join one of our teams — AI Tools team, CRM team, and others.

Our AI teams turn everyday business problems into working software. We automate processes across the company and put AI tools directly in the hands of the people who need them — so time goes into decisions, not routine. For example, we build in-app support experiences like Plata’s customer-facing support chatbot.

Wherever you land, you’ll be building production systems on top of the most capable models available, from customer-facing assistants to back-office automation that quietly saves thousands of hours.

You’ll collaborate cross-functionally with backend engineers, product teams, and business owners to deliver automated, scalable solutions that change how the company works day to day.

Challenges that await you

• Building AI-powered products from the ground up – assistants, chatbots, copilots, and internal automation.
• Improving model quality where it matters most – retrieval, prompting, fine-tuning, and choosing the right model for each task
• Owning LLM pipelines end-to-end — from model selection, retrieval, and prompting strategy to release and monitoring in production.
• Investigating and resolving production issues
• Building data loops that turn real usage into stronger evaluation datasets.
• Designing the evaluation methodology for our AI systems: what “good” means, how it’s measured, and how we know a change is real
• Running experiments and A/B tests, and drawing conclusions that hold up under scrutiny
• Partnering with engineers and business owners to turn a modelling result into a shipped improvement

What makes you a great fit

• Experience in a Machine Learning role
• Experience with agent frameworks or tool-using LLM systems
• Experience designing evaluations for LLM systems – representative task sets, automated graders, production signals, and human review
• Experience developing and launching AI products or features from scratch as an AI/ML/DS engineer
• Big-picture thinking to diagnose the right problem and productionise research
• You want to turn cutting-edge research and model capabilities into products that work for real users
• High autonomy and ownership
• English at B1 or above for effective communication with an international team

Your bonus skills

• A bachelor’s/ master’sd egree or PhD in a quantitative discipline
• Scientific publications in ML, NLP, or a related field
• Medals from olympiads – maths, physics, or programming
