Manufacturing Maintenance Technician

This position is responsible for assisting in providing support in maintenance, repair and support to assigned service calls to gain knowledge and skills for career development within Facility maintenance. A detailed breakdown of the different responsibilities associated with this position is defined below. We have openings for both 1st shift and 2nd shift.

Key Tasks and Responsibilities

• Assist in performing various preventive maintenance tasks and procedures concerning buildings and equipment.
• Possess the ability to navigate and troubleshoot PLC’s and related controls equipment.
• Develop skills for troubleshooting and repair of equipment.
• Assist in performing component replacement.
• Maintain an accurate and organized inventory of parts.
• Operate equipment, vehicles, powered industrial trucks, and aerial lifts safely.
• Perform routine building maintenance duties, including painting, minor electrical repairs, plumbing, carpentry, and heating and ventilation systems maintenance.
• Clean the interior of the building, as well as machinery and equipment, and exterior of the building
• Complete administrative duties, such as filling out forms and reporting maintenance statuses to supervisor.
• Comply with all safety and health regulations.
• Keep inventory of maintenance and cleaning supplies and equipment, and report needs to supervisor.
• Respond to emergency calls for maintenance and repairs.
• Diagnose and troubleshoot issues.
• Work with and maintain relationships with contracted vendors.
• Properly complete all repair, labor, parts purchasing and usage documentation in a timely fashion.
• Comply with all department and company policies and procedures.
• Physical demands include, but are not limited to, high aptitude for standing and walking endurance, lifting and carrying up to 50 pounds, pushing and pulling climbing ladders of various types, bending, squatting, and kneeling, and working in different temperatures inside and outside.

Preferred Skills and Qualifications

• Experience with troubleshooting PLC
• 5+ years of relevant maintenance experience
