San Francisco’s thriving SOMA district.

The Challenge

Our design team is responsible for the product design of Adobe Dimension, Project Aero and 3d tooling across the future of Creative Cloud. We are working closely with business, marketing, engineering, and research to deeply understand customer needs and build industry standard 3d and mixed reality creative tools.

The Role

We’re seeking a versatile experience design leader who thinks holistically and uses modern tools to evaluate multiple experience directions quickly. A champion for patterns that scale across input modalities from mouse, pen, keyboard, touch and on into VR/AR. You will be working closely alongside the Design Director, Design Lead and Product team to take initiatives from concept to implementation. We’re looking for someone with an uncanny ability to manage, inspire and motivate a strong design team. The ideal candidate should have a strong design background, a passion for great user experience, a desire to drive innovation and iteration, and a proven ability to lead and manage teams in the design industry.

In This Role, You Will

  • Have meaningful ownership. You’ll make important decisions about the way our product looks feels and behaves
  • Bring design to life. We value all types of prototyping
  • Understand and advocate the for the customer. Work with researchers (or conduct your own) from customer discovery through more discrete usability testing
  • Grow. You’ll sharpen your skills in this role, and learn how to take ownership of the essential aspects of the design
  • Collaborate. You’ll be part of a very communicative, healthy, product development family who’s diversity of thought brings breadth to our ideas and clarity to our refinement
  • Ship. We ship. You’ll have multiple opportunities to bring the hypothetical to the actual and enjoy seeing your work in the hands of millions

What You’ll Need To Succeed

  • College degree
  • Deep understanding of 2d and 3d design principles and tools.
  • Strong prototyping abilities, either via HTML/CSS/jQuery/Unity, or responsive design tools
  • 5+ years of management and leadership experience
  • Experience working in large teams with many moving parts
  • Experience working with and/or helping your team conduct research, presenting results and acting on those results
  • Awareness of how visual design languages and UI frameworks affect the design process
  • A mobile-first approach that favors touch-friendly interfaces and responsive grids
  • A proven track record of launching products that delight, innovate and scale
  • Strong interpersonal, written and oral communication skills
  • Willingness and ability to contribute to the creative spirit of the Design team and the company
  • Love of all things design
