Intuit’s Finance team drives business growth and profitability through strategic, financial and operational leadership. Our team is comprised of finance, accounting, supply chain, corporate strategy & development and tax professionals that support and enhance Intuit’s operating efficiencies.

We are looking for a passionate data leader to join our Small Business & Self-employed Group (SBSEG), to drive quantitative analysis into some of our biggest strategic questions. The right candidate is hands-on, is passionate in coaching junior teammates, and is adept driving analysis from end to end – from code & stats to senior executive presentations.

Quickbooks and our ecosystem of integrated products are used by over 5MM SMBs to run their business. Quickbooks exists to fuel small businesses by providing the toolset to run their businesses. And we are working hard to help small business worldwide, save time & money, keep their doors open, and grow.

Our team is comprised of finance, analytics and data-science professionals, leveraging our collective skills to drive data-backed approach to financial and strategic decision-making. Our team’s work spans across our desktop and online ecosystems to understand our Small Business Group as a whole. We are growing rapidly , and looking for someone who would be able to transition into management seamlessly.


  • Understand the current desktop and online ecosystems, historical customer behaviors, and long-term trends in order to determine financial and strategic implications and proactively recommend course corrections.
  • Lead teams in conducting quantitative analysis and assessment of ‘messy’ and hard to directly measure problems through bringing out of the box thinking on analytical approaches, and incorporation of statistical and econometric analytical techniques.
  • Challenges status quo thinking and drive change across organizational boundaries
  • Assist with recruiting and developing a team of talented analysts and scientists.
  • Build materials and present to senior executives on strategic recommendations (examples: pricing, product portfolio, new sales channel opportunities, etc…)
  • Partner with data engineering teams and other data teams to ensure to ensure the right data is captured, and the right KPIs are built out.
  • Partner with financial analysts to help improve forecast accuracy through incorporating fundamental business and market trends.
  • Partner with senior leadership to understand impacts of top opportunities to drive business growth.
  • Drives analytics rigor by inspecting analytical and experimentation methodologies, and role-modeling self-criticality & devil’s advocacy as well as hypothesis based thinking.


  • 6+ years minimum, 8+ preferred, of analytics experience applying quantitative analysis, econometric techniques, and experimental design to problem-solve business challenges.
  • Experience and passion for mentoring, guiding, and nurturing growth in others.
  • Strong understanding of SaaS business dynamics.
  • Demonstrable experience applying data science techniques (predictive, modeling & analytical) to practical business problems.
  • Proven experience in influencing to drive significant change in strategic direction.
  • Proficient with SQL and at least one scripting language used in analytics (e.g. Python, R, Scala); understanding of software development best practices strongly preferred.
  • Proven experience applying statistical analysis techniques to drive recommendations.
  • History of taking ownership and running toward fires.
  • Strong understanding of data warehousing. Ability to provide technical direction to engineering teams for data warehousing.
  • Hacker mindset – not matter how messy data is, if there is a way, you’ll figure it out.
  • Fluent with spreadsheets, financial modeling, and presentation tools (Google or Microsoft).
  • Strong communications skills with both technical and non-technical colleagues, and translating between the two.
  • Entrepreneurial and curious mindset – passionate about business and data, and constantly thinking about opportunities and risks others have not yet thought about.
  • Undergraduate degree required. Masters in a quantitative discipline preferred.
