Group Product Manager – Account Security & Customer Fraud

As a Group Product Manager Customer Fraud & Account Security, you’re always one step ahead of the fraudsters. You lead teams of developers and data scientists, developing and continuously improving technology to protect our guests and partners. You protect our customers, partners and the company against two major fraud types: customer fraud (e.g. incentive abuse, availability blocking) and account take-overs (of both partner and customer accounts).

In this role, you work closely with your teams and product managers and empower them to develop advanced fraud detection methods (with machine learning/anomaly detection), to stop fraud and account takeovers before it’s too late. You improve our screening and verification processes, in close collaboration with teams throughout the company. You prioritize new initiatives based on new threats and attack patterns as well as business opportunities and own these initiatives end to end across the business. You work closely with other teams in Security and Fraud but also with stakeholders across the whole business and strike a balance between protecting our customers and partners and allowing product development in all areas to match the business growth ambitions.

You’re a strong technical leader with experience in building scalable infrastructure in large organizations and interest in fighting fraud. You are excellent at managing different stakeholders and owning topics across teams and departments. You’re a team player, with a bottom-up approach to developing concepts and products. You have experience working with teams of engineers and data scientists and know-how to apply threat-based prioritization to benefit the business. You’re creative, and always ready to adjust your strategy based on the evolution of threats and business strategy. Your Impact

    • Own the long-term vision for Customer Fraud Prevention at, inspire the team to achieve the vision by sharing your message effectively.
    • Support Product Managers in translating the group’s vision into teams’ backlogs.
    • Guide the implementation of new technical solutions, with a customer-centric mentality and keeping stakeholders up-to-date on progress and actively engaged.
    • Use data (threat analysis, threat intelligence, business analytics, market trends) to make informed decisions about what the team should work on next, analyze how it is implemented and what the results are.
    • Because your opinion is data-driven, you will define key business and success metrics, track them, and improve upon them.
    • Empower and collaborate with your team to unlock their full potential.
    • Be the driving force behind product innovation, based on an in-depth understanding of fraud and machine learning.
    • Assess the performance of your fraud controls and identify opportunities to improve.
    • Minimize the impact of fraud on our partners and guests, collaborating with teams throughout the organisation.
    • Analyse, understand and share learnings from experimentation to build a strong knowledge base of the product.
    • Engage with external vendors, partners and other stakeholders.

Your Experience

    • 3+ years experience working within Fraud or Security Industry
    • 5+ years experience in a product role (e.g. product manager or product owner)
    • 1+ year experience as a people manager
    • Strong affinity with technology and large scale platforms
    • Experience working with data scientists or data analysts, and basic knowledge of machine learning techniques.
    • Previous involvement with high traffic (50,000+ visitors per day), preferably E-commerce sites. Experience using data to make informed decisions.
    • Strong communication and presentation skills, the ability to summarize complex and technical topics to a wide range of audiences.
