Technical/Functional OFSAA Project Manager

Travel requirement: Up to 100%

Detailed Description and Job Requirements

This consulting role is responsible for project management for specific projects in the Oracle Financial Services Analytical Applications (OFSAA) consulting group. Primary responsibilities include:

  • People management, project planning/delivery, and sales lead identification
  • Being accountable for Oracle’s operational/financial metrics and maintaining project profitability while ensuring quality of project delivery as well as maintaining customer reference ability
  • All aspects of project planning, delivery, and profitability for assigned OFSAA implementation projects Managing team of consultants and client resources to deliver OFSAA application solutions to our customers
  • Adherence to operational policies and compliance with portfolio management requirements as a member of the project management team
  • Identifying extension / expansion opportunities based on client requirements and client needs

Required Skills

  • 10+ years of experience implementing risk or finance applications relevant to this position with direct project management experience
  • Demonstrated ability to follow solid project management principles and successfully manage projects of increasing complexity
  • Comfortable working in a matrix management environment
  • Strong influencing and negotiation skills to deal with internal stakeholders, customers, and vendors
  • Product, technology or industry expertise relevant to the Banking and Financial Services portfolio focus. Technical or functional SME in the early stages of the career in BFSI domain will be advantageous
  • Graduate / Master degree or equivalent experience
  • Ability to travel 100%

Preferred Skills:

  • 4 year degree and 10+ years of experience implementing and managing software implementations, preferably in Banking and Financial Services analytical and compliance areas.
  • Project Management Professional (PMP) certification
  • Ability to multi-task and perform activities under pressure
  • Experience in transferring knowledge to others (coaching and mentoring)
  • Comfortable interacting with all levels of management and roles within the client organization
  • Ability to effectively prioritize and escalate customer issues as required
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills to effectively explain a solution to a customer’s problems
  • Detailed, organized and results oriented
  • Enthusiasm, strong work ethic and a positive attitude
  • Ability to learn and assimilate functional and technical information quickly
